The Suikoden — the Water Margin — is a classic tale of 108 outlaw heroes, first told in China and adopted wholesale by Edo Japan. Utagawa Kuniyoshi's 19th-century print series on the subject is credited with shaping traditional Japanese tattoo art as we know it. This red colourway, designed by Dylan Shipley, carries that legend forward.
